Painting 3/2
On 3/2 we started painting the walls the "Carbon Copy color" A purple so dark it's almost black. I never painted a wall before so it was a new experience I think everyone should learn in case they need it in the future. During this period my mentor and I talked about the basic structure of the studio and what our plans are as far as after painting. Soon, hopefully next week I'll start moving the tools and computers ect. ect. into the space from what is now the sound proof room under my house.

The Basics
Today is the second day working for Carbon Copy. It's a music studio starting out in my basement and by the middle of March it'll have it's own space, built from scratch. Prior to my internship I've seen the progress this space has had from being a box to actually being a professional area. My first day was just a session and a quick briefing on the studio itself.
Today I watched a 2 hour DVD talking and explaining the program most professionals use called ProTools, a music program like garage band only more professional and more control over the sound of the music you make. I've learned my role in this internship is to Archive files to be all in the same format and in whichever order my mentor needs them in. My second job will be to actually help with the making of the studio along side my mentor let it be buying parts, setting up vents, making sure the rooms are soundproof, I'll be involved in all of it. My third job once finished with the first two would be to start my own projects to do with the studio and music let it be mastering for my mentor or making a circuit bending instrument I'll be sure to find someway to continue with it.
My basic Idea for my final project is a video of different things I've done with narration of what I'm doing and why along with music from the studio I've either helped with making or have watched my mentor create.
